Always Respect the Fact That Firearms Are Dangerous

Shooters enjoy using guns, however, no one enjoys accidents caused by the misuse of guns. Our commitment to safety is enforced to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors can enjoy themselves in a fully safe and controlled environment.

Planning on visiting the range? Before your visit be sure to review the range rules. Whether you’ve never handled a firearm before, or are new to our facilities, there are a few things that you’re sure to hear repeated again and again. It’s best to keep these rules fresh in your memory for all your range drop-ins.

 

  • ALWAYS TREAT A FIREARM AS THOUGH IT WERE LOADED

 

  • KEEP THE MUZZLE OF YOUR FIREARM AWAY FROM ANYTHING YOU DON’T WANT DESTROYED

 

  • KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

 

  • ALWAYS BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET BEFORE FIRING

 

No matter what the circumstances may be — hunting with the family, transporting a gun for repairs, or anything in-between — if you follow these simple rules, your safety is ensured. We take safety seriously and it’s our primary objective to ensure everyone who ever handles a gun respects the firearm and appreciates that treating an unloaded firearm as loaded will never cause them any problems.

Always unload and visually verify that the chamber is free of any ammunition before handling a firearm and in all of the following circumstances:

Before stripping the firearm (disassemble)

Whenever the firearm is handed to another person

Before it is brought into a facility from an outside source

Whenever it is being picked up and has been out of sight (even if only for a moment)

Whenever the status of the firearm is not known (for example, if you’re not sure you properly unloaded your firearm)

Before cleaning or inspecting the firearm

Whenever there is a possibility that a round may be in the chamber and the firearm is not intended to be fired

WHEN IN DOUBT, PERFORM A COMPLETE UNLOAD FOLLOWED BY AN INSPECTION OF THE CHAMBER AND FINALLY A TEST DRY-FIRE WITH THE FIREARM POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.

Our staff will gladly help you if you feel a little uncomfortable with the weapons.

We are committed to safety, and recognize that there is a lot of information to absorb about firearm safety. If you can’t remember all of these points, then ensure you remember these two:

Never ever point your firearm at another person
Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

It doesn’t matter if you have double-checked the chamber for rounds, if even if you know the safety is on, or if the gun is broken — or even if its a plastic model gun. Prove to everyone around you that you know gun safety, and that you respect the incredible power of firearms.
